Lorraine Nield is a Chief Financial Officer with Greenough Consulting Group (GCG). She primarily serves as CFO to venture capital and private equity firms. Lorraine has extensive experience in financial management in the private equity and venture capital industry, with specialized knowledge of venture debt and asset based lending to emerging technology and life sciences companies.
With over 25 years of experience, Lorraine has amassed an extensive amount of knowledge relevant to all aspects of fund formation, management and operations, including financial reporting, analysis and forecasting, as well as investment portfolio management.
Prior to GCG Lorraine co-founded Partners for Growth, a private equity firm that provides capital funding debt solutions to technology and life science companies. Lorraine established and managed the firm’s investment operations, financial systems, credit risk and regulatory compliance policies and served as the firm’s CFO and CCO. She began her venture capital and private equity career when she joined Hambrecht & Quist Guaranty Finance, (HQGF), a venture debt subsidiary of Hambrecht & Quist.
Lorraine was educated in Louvain, Belgium and studied French commercial law and economics at L’Institut Francais in London, England.
Lorraine enjoys her time with family. She likes to hike, ski and read. She also likes to follow F1 motor racing, soccer, and sailing (having previously crewed in sailing races in the Bay).
