Ed has extensive experience as a CFO serving both public and private companies in the software, venture capital, broadcasting, and medical device industries. Since joining GCG in 2001, Ed has served as an interim CFO on more than 15 engagements.
Ed’s expertise spans everything from managing day-to-day accounting, financial analysis, HR, facilities, IT, treasury, and legal functions to multi-national corporate restructurings. His has extensive experience in managing venture funding rounds, planning and installing accounting and control systems, managing annual audits, and structuring complex software development contracts.
Prior to joining Greenough Consulting Group, Ed was General Partner and CFO of Baycom Partners LP, where he oversaw the company’s financial, accounting and administrative functions. Before Baycom, he was the CFAO and a member of the Board of Directors for Teknowledge, Inc., where he raised over $25 million in private placements and lead a $30 million IPO.
Ed has a Masters Degree from the University of Chicago, where he was a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society. He attended the Kellogg Graduate School of Business.
An active member of the community, Ed has been involved in his local public school district; the AYSO Soccer League; Art in Action, a non-profit art education program for Bay Area elementary school children; and ACS, which provides counseling to local high school students.
