Lumina Networks, Inc., a leader in open source networking solutions that simplify and automate heterogeneous networks, brought Greenough Group in at the time of Lumina’s spin-out from a large public company.
Initially, Greenough Group was brought in to help set up the accounting system for the US based parent company and one foreign affiliate. Lumina has since grown, expanding into five additional foreign countries, with Greenough Group managing the growth in the accounting systems and reporting, as well as working with the executive team on budgeting, fundraising and Board financial requests.
Assisted with the initial venture fundraising and continue to provide continuing support in a challenging environment.
Attend quarterly Board Meetings representing the finance function.
Built a budget model, based on management’s requirements, and maintain rolling forecasts to help manage costs and for Board presentations and requests.
Set up separate sets of financial statements for each foreign entity, in their local currency, as well as consolidating financial statements in accordance with GAAP and have maintained on a monthly basis.
Coordinate with local payroll providers and tax firms so that all statutory requirements are met.
