Leann Proud
Leann brings over 15 years of human resource experience to Greenough Consulting Group. She has a wide variety of industry experience including private equity, technology, business services, software, Internet, telecommunications, medical devices, semiconductor and retail/consumer goods. She has been consulting with Greenough Consulting Group since 2000.
Consulting for companies ranging from start-ups to major corporations, in addition to her HR generalist skills, Leann has provided her HR expertise in mergers, acquisitions and company wind-downs.
With the current business climate, Leann has successfully steered her clients through today’s challenges, finding creative solutions to reducing the work force, retention, employee relation matters, and cost saving strategies for benefit programs.
Leann’s accomplishments and work include the following:
- Merger and Acquisition – worked with legal counsel and private equity firms to perform due diligence for a number of acquisitions including a $20 million asset acquisition of a semiconductor company, and an Internet start-up acquired by Yahoo
- Stock Administration – provide stock administration for clients including audit and reconciliation of board minutes, cap table and stock grants. Prepare board slides grant approvals.
- Employee Relations –assisted clients with coaching and progressive counseling, unlawful harassment investigations, EDD unemployment hearings, Labor Commissioner hearings, and mediation.
- Performance Evaluations – developed and implemented many variations of the annual review process including employee surveys, management 360’s, evaluations and executive feedback.
- Compensation Programs – led comp committee for a number of clients. Research and compile salary data, develop incentive programs including MBO bonus plans, spot bonuses for employee appreciation and commission plans.
Leann has served as a member of the Board of Directors for two non-profit organizations and is an active member of both the Society of Human Resource Management and the Northern California Human Resource Association. Leann enjoys spending time with her family. She is an active member in her community and an advocate for women’s health issues.
