

Steve is a senior executive with significant experience in general, operational and financial management. He has a strong background in strategic and financial business planning and implementation, and has proven experience in working with management teams to effectively build and align company strategy and organization to meet corporate goals.
Since joining GCG in 2007, Steve has served as an interim CFO and COO on more than 20 engagements. In addition to overall administrative management—including HR, office and real estate, insurance and contract management—his expertise includes business and strategic planning, analytics and modeling, financial reporting and sales commission structures.
Prior to joining Greenough Consulting Group, Steve was a General Manager at Klutz, where he led its acquisition. Post-purchase, he focused on growing sales, overhauled the pricing strategy, and consolidated inventory operations. Before Klutz, he was the controller of PETS.com, where he oversaw all SEC reporting and eventually conducted the corporate wind down, settling all debts, avoiding bankruptcy and returning capital to investors.
Steve also has an extensive background in real estate. Earlier in his career, he spent 12 years working with large institutional investors focused on the commercial real estate industry.
Steve has an undergraduate degree from Humboldt State University and has attended executive education courses at the Graduate School of Business in Chicago.
