Ron Chan

Ron is a human resources consultant with a head for business and a heart for people. With more than 20 years in HR, Ron joined GCG in 2008, and has since served as the interim HR executive to 10 GCG clients.

 

Ron’s respected style earned him national recognition when a large consulting firm named him among its “100 Thought Leaders” for his HR leadership and executive coaching efforts across United Airlines’ operations, sales, engineering and HR departments.

 

Throughout his career, Ron has worked in settings ranging from major corporations to small privately held companies. He has led HR programs across a diverse set of industries, from biotech and engineering to architecture and large scale food services. He has a broad base of business experience in transportation, manufacturing, customer service, retail, service firms and real estate.

 

Bringing perspective and keen analytical skills to the array of HR issues, Ron has led projects in key areas that include mergers & acquisitions, targeted recruitment, compensation, organizational development and compliance.

 

Ron has a BA in Sociology from the University of Washington.

 

When he is not providing HR counsel, Ron plays tennis, works at golf and balances his family life. He has been known to cut crown molding on a miter saw and run a jib sail on the Bay. In his earlier days, Ron studied the Goju style of martial arts.
